While gathering his experience in the tech industry, Christopher Salis uplifted the performances of different organizations he has worked with. It not only helped him in attaining expertise in his area of practice but also polished his skills as a start-up advisor.
When it comes to guiding start-ups, he makes use of different philosophies like the Lean Start-up and Getting Things Done method by David Allen. He is a great learner who believes in sharing his ideas and knowledge with everyone.
He began his journey after earning his education from Purdue University. Then, he joined Adecco Employment Services as the IT Procurement Manager. In this company, he handled the IT Procurement Program for their 700 branch locations along with the global corporate operations.
After bringing the changes in the working of Adecco, a leading name in HR services, he joined Gap Inc. as the Manager of Strategic Sourcing. After serving Gap for more than four years, he joined eBay, where he served as the Manager of Operational Excellence, Procurement, and Strategic Sourcing.
He then joined Business Objects, a company specializing in enterprise software services and business intelligence. He joined the firm as the Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement.
At Business Objects, he managed M & A and Corporate Development and day-to-day operations of Partner Organization and SAP’s Ecosystem. His continuous diligent efforts helped him in reaching the position of Executive Director and Chief of the CEO’s Staff-Office.
Sooner, after Business Objects merged with SAP, he was offered to serve the company as the Vice-President. Like in Business Objects and the other companies he had been a part of, Salis applied efforts in SAP too. It helped him in reaching the position of Global Vice-President & Head of Portfolio Go to Market.
During the process of earning his extensive experience of more than two decades, he has led several teams too. He believes that an employee is one of the most precious assets for every company. That is why he looks for more opportunities to help his team grow.
Christopher Salis is a father to two young sons and cherishes being a parent. Just the way he finds opportunities to mentor others in his professional life, he has chosen to do the same in his personal life too. He guides people with different challenges in parenthood. He lives in San Mateo with his family.
