The right mentorship plays a critical role in the professional growth of any person. However, today, it is not common to find someone who takes time to guide and encourage others. Having led several teams while attaining his expertise, Chris has become an inspiration for many.

He is known for his uncompromising integrity and innovation that he has used to uplift the functioning of companies he has worked with. However, he too started by learning about the nitty-gritty of his industry.
He earned his education at Purdue University, after which, he joined Adecco Employment Services. There, he worked as the IT Procurement Manager for a couple of years. Later, he began to serve at Gap Inc, as the Strategic Sourcing Manager. Salis has also worked with eBay at the position of Manager of Procurement/ Operational Excellence/ Strategic Sourcing.
After earning enough experience, he became a part of Business Objects, which he served for almost four years. In these years, he started as the Senior Manager, Procurement and Strategic Sourcing. Later, with his continuous efforts and diligent skills, he built his way towards the position of Global Go-To-Market Process and Project Management. He later became the Executive Director.
However, it is not all that he has achieved. After Business Objects merged with SAP, Chris Salis was offered the position of Vice President. Later, in SAP, he was able to serve as the Global Vice President. Over these years and while serving at different positions, Chris has worked with different teams and had been a mentor to everyone seeking his guidance. It is because he believes that every employee plays a crucial role in the growth and development of the company.
He also believes in coming forward for collective efforts with utmost dedication. Also a start-up advisor, he has helped to convert several ideas into a thriving business. For guiding people with their start-ups, he has made use of different philosophies such as Getting Things Done by David Allen and Lean Start-Up method.
Whether it is as a start-up advisor or as the Vice President in SAP, Chris Salis has always seen every situation as a learning opportunity. One of the best instances of it lies in his personal life. Being a father to two young sons, he is aware of the challenges connected with parenthood. So, he takes out time to guide others with the challenges of being a parent.
